I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California (LMFT #86227) and Ohio (F.2100217). I earned my Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of San Francisco in 2012 and my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology & Psychology from San Diego State University in 2004.
My main therapeutic modality is an advanced form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy called TEAM-CBT, based on the work of Dr. David Burns. However, I also incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Family-Based Treatment interventions (FBT), Intuitive Eating, Self-Compassion, and more. I have experience working in Eating Disorder treatment centers, Partial Hospitalization/Intensive Outpatient (PHP/IOP) clinics, schools, and community mental health clinics.
When I’m not wearing my ‘therapist’ hat, you’ll likely find me outside walking or hiking with my dog and/or husband, cooking something yummy, or spending time with friends and family.
I am a member of the following organizations:
CAMFT (California Association of Marriage & Family Therapists)
SCV-CAMFT (Santa Clara Valley branch of CAMFT)
NCCBT (Northern California Cognitive Behavioral Therapists)
